Technology at Your Fingertip
THE NEW ERA
The future is already in your hand.
Your wish is my command.
Listen to the words of Michael Martin Hughes.
Take a look at your phone.
Who’s in there? What’s in there? And what could come out of it?
There may be a photograph you would never trade. A message you can’t bring yourself to delete. A voice you wish you could hear one more time.
There might be a customer waiting for an answer, an order ready to ship, a bill to pay, or an idea you haven’t done anything with yet. All of it within reach of your fingertip.
We once walked over to the telephone to answer a call. We sat at a desk to use a computer. Photographs filled albums. Music filled shelves. Business filled filing cabinets. Little by little, those things found their way into our hands.
The landline lost its leash. The camera left its case. The office followed us out the door.
